About North and South – DeForest
JD & Taryn Duncan met at Keith and Erin’s first Madison restaurant as team members and managers. They married with the Stoesz’s daughter as their flower girl, who now babysits their young sons. The friendship has grown over time with a strong mutual respect for the work done in the restaurant industry. JD Duncan has had much success with several national chains as general manager. Along with a group of longtime DeForest residents, the Stoesz & Duncan families have come together to open the second location of North and South Seafood & Smokehouse in DeForest, Wisconsin, with JD Duncan as acting owner & operator. Along with our flagship Madison location, we are excited to share our passion for friendly-down home service, craft cocktails, seafood & smoked meats.
